As a multi-disciplined ethnobotanical artist and designer living and working in Aberdeen, plants predominate through my art practice. Since 2010, I have exhibited locally and been commissioned to draw and paint botanical renditions of plants in watercolour and ink, including two articles for the Artist & Illustrator Magazine. Recently inquiry through oil painting, printmaking, photography, and microscopy, in some instances, finding the hidden patternation and structure of the selected plant has honed the sometimes-multifaceted pieces of work to a more abstract view.
